After Being Adopted by the Main Wife, My “Indifferent as a Chrysanthemum” Sister Went Mad with Envy

Jiang Sihe was a shu-daughter of the Jiang family raised in a side courtyard. Along with her younger sister, she followed their birth mother—a woman who never vied for anything—and together they suffered immensely in that secluded residence. Jiang Sihe showed her face in public to earn a living for her sister and mother, yet her younger sister imitated their mother’s “indifferent as a chrysanthemum” attitude. If the First Madam truly wishes to adopt me, she must first elevate my mother to the position of equal-wife!” Infuriated, the First Madam waited until the sister’s ji-pin ceremony, then sent both sisters into a Marquis Manor as concubines in two small sedan chairs. The gates of a Marquis’s house are as deep as the sea, and their lives were difficult. To keep them fed and clothed, Jiang Sihe threw herself into inner-court scheming, only to be met with her sister’s disdainful remark: “Lowly methods of currying favor and flattery!” Ultimately, Jiang Sihe was imprisoned in a dark room within the Marquis Manor and died of illness, while her sister became the manor’s mistress… Having been reborn, Jiang Sihe steps in before her sister to save the First Madam, seizing this opportunity for herself. Since her sister is so lofty and unwilling to be the Jiang family’s di-daughter, then in this life, it will be her turn to take that place… — Description from novelcodex.orgFull novel: After Being Adopted by the Main Wife, My “Indifferent as a Chrysanthemum” Sister Went Mad with Envy — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org
