Broadcast WandaVision: Ratings Are His Power
by Gojo_Sat_9655
Everyone in Westview was written into the script. One man walked in without a part. The Test Pattern hands him an audience instead of a power. Reception is measured in Wattage, drawn against a Sponsorship bank, and paid for out of Self-Signal — the share of him that is still Malik Ashford and not whatever the decade wants him to be. Ratings climb. Self-Signal does not come back. Dead-Air Hold buys a few seconds off-script. It is the only time he is himself, and it costs like everything else. The neighbours are half-awake and performing. The boundary edge takes apart anything that leans on it too long, and there is a woman in this town who tastes power to find out what it is made of. The format changes without warning, and he has to become somebody new before the theme song ends. — Description from novelcodex.org
