In the year 2199, roughly 25 years after the Apocalypse, the world of Rhevora is no longer what it used to be. Some living beings begun to Awaken, gaining supernatural power, a Talent, and a Path they can advance through. In much rarer cases, they may also awaken a Bloodline. Averik is 24 and has spent most of his life in relative privilege inside the fortress. His father, Roderic, is District Leader and Frontline Unit Commander, giving Averik a life far more comfortable than most people could hope for. But comfort never killed his ambition. Averik trained, prepared, and waited for the night he would finally Awaken. Then, one month before his Awakening, Roderic dies during an expedition outside the fortress. All Averik inherited was his father's positionless legacy... and a warning letter telling... But his father's death was only the beginning.
