Nine years after the monster apocalypse, Eik had accepted that he would never get super powers of his own. But now the apocalypse is ramping up again. When a monster crashes through the wall of Eik’s apothecary, his quiet life is turned upside down. Forced to choose his first Awakened ability in order to survive, Eik soon finds out that his sister has been put in a coma by a venomous monster — and only by killing that monster can he synthesize the antiserum. Awakening his second ability, the first Unique ability on Earth, called Profound Toxin, Eik sees his chance to gain power. But when a mysterious woman emerges from the same otherworldly spatial fracture as the monsters, humanity learns that Earth is just one piece in a much bigger game. And Eik could become a crucial player.
