Oreimo: My Little Sister Can’t Be a Manga Artist
by Yuni_TL
In Japan that is set in a parallel timeline, during the bubble economy era. A detective father, a gossipy mother, a tsundere little sister, and a broken him. Kousaka Kyousuke followed the plan and stepped onto the path of the copycat, but after a family meeting, he accepted a mission from his mother. Mieko said, “There’s something I need to ask of you.” And so, Kyousuke received a tracking device, its locator planted on the backpack of his cheap little sister, Kousaka Kirino.————————————————————————————————————————The protagonist is a transmigrator who takes Kyousuke’s place as Kirino’s non-blood-related stepbrother. Unlike the original’s passive nature, he is grounded, ambitious, decisive, and proactively pursues goals like writing light novels and planning a business. His calmer, more capable personality allows him to tease Kirino back, making their interactions more refreshing compared to the original dynamic. Character introductions are handled neatly without overcrowding the narrative, and most reactions to the creative works come through Kirino, as the first to see the finished products. There are some minor changes to the original casts settings, but it’s rational, as it fits with the narrative. — Description from novelcodex.org
