Out of Prison, Baby in Arms, Divorce Papers Ready
by Unknown Author
Ruby Grant walked out of prison, holding a six-month-old baby in her arms. A year and a half ago, the husband she had adored for ten years personally sent her to prison; her stepsister, whom she had treated like real family, conspired with her childhood sweetheart from the Spade family to provide false testimony; her family severed ties with her, unwilling to acknowledge a convict as their daughter. They trampled on her true feelings, dignity, and honor to secure their high positions. After her release, all she wanted was to take her child and get a divorce, but her ex-husband stood before her with red-rimmed eyes, “Ruby, I was just deceived. The only one I love is you.” Her stepsister and family begged for her forgiveness, “We all know we were wrong. Please forgive us.” The brother from the Spade family even knelt before her, “I did all this just to give you a better life. You were only in prison for a year; I can take care of you.” Ruby held Ceci tightly and cooed softly, “Be good, Ceci. They are all bad people.” Without looking back, she used her own strength to build a world for Ceci. — Description from novelcodex.org
