Outside of Time

All living beings in heaven and earth are guests in a tavern. The timescape is also an old customer. The difference between life and death is like the difference between dreaming and waking. Even years of study might not reveal the truth of such complex transformations. What awaits on the other side of life and death? What surpasses heaven and earth? What lies beyond the timescape? In a world where the weak are devoured by the strong, survival is the only law. After the descent of a mysterious “God”, the world fell into ruin. Its lingering aura polluted the land, corrupting even the resources needed for cultivation. Those who seek power must risk mutation or death. The most powerful cultivators fled, taking humanity’s elites with them and abandoning the rest to a brutal, chaotic wasteland. Ferocious beasts roam freely, and the remnants of humanity, now a mere shadow of its former self, struggle and fight among themselves to survive. Xu Qing is one of the forsaken. Alone in this merciless world, his goals are simple: to survive, and to find his lost family. Yet as he walks the path of cultivation, he comes to realize a terrifying truth: power always comes at a cost, and the closer one draws to strength, the closer one drifts from their humanity. Even so, amidst the cruelty, Xu Qing finds bonds of trust and companionship that give him a reason to keep moving forward. If the heavens offer no salvation, then perhaps the only path left is to rise beyond them. — Description from novelcodex.orgFull novel: Outside of Time — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org
