Reborn Empire’s Top Zerg
by Unknown
Kerry transmigrated into a strange world divided into drones (male zergs) and worker/soldier zergs (female zergs). As a normal human, Kerry always assumed he was a C-class female zerg. During his school days, Kerry dated an A-class female zerg, only to be despised for not being a male zerg and ultimately abandoned to death. Reborn once more, Kerry decided that wise men never fall in love. He would focus on earning military achievements and enjoying the rest of his life. Yet, after clawing his way up, he kept running into his former arch-nemesis: Lanrod, the Empire’s only 5S-class female zerg. As the Empire’s only 5S-class female zerg, Lanrod possessed not only overwhelming strength but also top-tier beauty. For five consecutive years, with his aloof, handsome appearance and noble, pristine temperament, he had been voted the female zerg that imperial males most wanted to marry. However, Kerry heard that Lanrod had never accepted any male zerg’s affections, nor had he ever expressed his own to any male zerg. For a moment, Kerry couldn’t help but recall how his past life ended in Lanrod’s embrace. That embrace was freezing cold, just like Lanrod himself. He remembered the female zerg’s eyes looking down at him. A pair of eyes as clear as glaciers, deep and boundless, like the depths of the ocean and the brilliant starlight of the cosmos. “Your Highness Lanrod, you can’t keep taking neural inhibitors like this!” Jerald said. “Even if you don’t want to bond with a male zerg, you still need their soothing.” In the world of the zergs, male zerg were infinitely precious. Even so, As the most elite female zerg, Lanrod still possessed the freedom of infinite choices. “There are no 5S-class male zergs in this world; the highest-ranking male zergs are only S-class. You can invite Lord Xika to soothe you, since he is one of the few S-class male zergs in the Empire.” Lanrod glanced at Jerald: “I will not bond with any male zerg.” In Lanrod’s impression, male zergs were fragile and sensitive, practically shattering at the slightest touch. Yet it was these very fragile beings who held absolute control over the female zergs’ genetics. Once marked by a male zerg, it meant the female zerg lost all autonomy. Lanrod refused to allow himself to lose control. Later on, Lanrod met a strange female zerg. Unlike others, he didn’t refute Lanrod’s views; instead, he constantly agreed with him. Until a terrifying metamorphosis period arrived. Only then did Lanrod discover that the female zerg he had thought he knew all along was actually a male zerg! And an ultra-high-level male zerg at that! The higher the rank of a male zerg, the more perilous the metamorphosis period. Lanrod had never been so terrified. Looking at the dying male zerg lying on the bed, his heart felt as though it were being torn to pieces. (By the insect gods, I am willing to offer up everything I am, asking only for Kerry’s safety.) In a haze, Kerry looked up at Lanrod’s clean, aloof jawline. Silver strands of hair brushed against the tip of his nose, making Kerry instinctively nudge against that cold, jade-white neck. “Don’t move around,” Lanrod said. Kerry let out an “mm.” He rested his head against Lanrod’s neck, his eyes half-closed as he rubbed against that soft skin. “Can I touch your wings?” If I must bow my head, I am only willing to surrender to you. Kerry had always thought he was just a lonely, ordinary C-class female zerg. Until: Kerry’s Father (Male): Baby, do you like the starship I got you? Kerry’s Father (Female): Ah-rui, whatever else you want, I’ll give it to you! Kerry’s Brother: No one is stopping me from seeing my little brother! Imperial Citizens: We’ve never seen a male zerg lord with such a high rank before! One-Sentence Summary: Can I touch your wings? Theme: Striving constantly for self-improvement. — Description from novelcodex.org
