Erind Hartwell: dutiful daughter, law student, psychopath, film enthusiast—one of these makes her not normal. Was it the psychopath thing? Maybe. Viewing life as a movie, Erind’s wish to become the main character is granted unexpectedly: on the brink of death, an otherworldly entity offers her powers.
