Rifts: Why Choosen Ones are my enemy?

he reincarnate with useless screen. then he reincarnated again.but, unknown to him he left someone behind, A friend? or more then a friend?His new life was going good, peacefull until those rifts appeared.it's just a radom supernatural incident or was it?would unknown past chase him in the future?
