Robert's Rebellion failed. Rhaegar Targaryen won, and the realm paid for it in blood, grudges and empty coffers. Now the King spends his reign chasing a prophecy: a Prince That Was Promised, two sister-wives, and the fire and ice that will stand against the dark beyond the Wall. Every child in the Red Keep has a role to play in it. Aegon is the Promised Prince. Rhaenys is the second head. Visenya is the third. Vaegon was born a boy, so he is nothing. His father has never spoken to him. His mother gave him a name and then looked away. At three, he was sent to the servants' quarters, where he wears rags and begs for ink. At seven, he does the one thing a forgotten son should never do: he beats the heir. The King's answer is a locked door, no food, no water, and a signature on a sentence he never really read. The throne is rotting, the lords are restless, a lost prince is plotting in the East, and the North has not forgotten what it lost. And somewhere in the servants' wing, the boy nobody wanted is still alive. But not like everyone thinks. A lost mature soul has found its way within the boy's body. What will Vaegon now do ? His knowlegde of both books and series is practically useless now. Will he dies ? So here I am with a new serie that I particulary appreciate from my end. So basically I read a certain fanfiction on the world of ASOIAF. But the thing was that though the concept was genius I didn't really like how it evolved so here I thought I would do my own fanfiction to see if I could write something that would be more to my taste and I decided to share it. Don't expect it to be the same as my inspiration it's a complete different story ! Now don't expect too much. It's my first real story. Especially the beginning I rushed things a little so it might feel too much. I ask you to be patient and please make critics it helps and I am ready to make modifications if it's really necessary. Now what to expect ? -No Harem -Big changes from cannon and mix of both books and series (I will be more faithful to the books) -Mostly a political novel, don't expect war after war; fighting after fighting, it won't be like that. -I add my own things to the story. Yes some part for book purists won't make sense or I forgot this or that, I KNOW. I just add my own theories to make a story that makes sense in my head. Now English isn't my first language and I write in my maternal language. Sooo. Translation is done through AI, text might be modified from my raw chapters. I try to do my best to reread and correct mistakes but they can happen. If you aren't sure about something ask in the comments I will do my best to reply. Also I didn't try to use the medieval form of language and way of speaking. Thus the way the characters speak is very modern. Don't be surprised.
