Fisherman's Song Amidst the Flames

Zhao Xun, a modern Marine Corps soldier, is swept into a time vortex during a naval exercise by a once-in-a-century storm. He wakes up in 1942 on the Jiaodong Peninsula, amidst the flames of war. Ning Caixia, a kind and resilient fisherwoman, saves him. As the Japanese army brutally suppresses coastal villages, the two join forces to fight back. Using modern combat skills, Zhao Xun leads the villagers in guerrilla attacks. They later meet the Jiaodong guerrilla forces and continue their journey through the Huaihai Campaign, the Hainan Island landing, Yunnan counterinsurgency, and the Korean War. This is a story of love and heroism across time.
