Protagonist Lu Ye and his childhood friend Su Qing, facing a survival crisis in Luoshi Village, accidentally discover a mysterious energy crystal (Star Core Fragment) and learn its connection to the truth behind the energy disappearance and the nuclear war. The two embark on a journey to find Star Core Fragments and restart energy, assembling a five-person team along the way. They encounter greedy settlement rulers, brutal bandit gangs, secret Old World forces, and powerful mutated beasts, gradually uncovering that 'the energy disappearance was not an accident but a conspiracy by Old World forces to control the wasteland and filter humanity.' Ultimately, they gather all Star Core Fragments, restart part of the energy, protect the wasteland survivors, and confront the Old World forces' ultimate plan.
