Breaking the Deadlock
by 定山魏
Jiangzhou City is a rapidly developing riverside city, but behind it lies a corrupt interest group centered around Executive Deputy Mayor Zhou Bingkun. Urban construction projects are manipulated behind the scenes, land funds are misappropriated, and collusion between officials and businessmen has become an unspoken 'rule' in Jiangzhou's officialdom. Lin Yan, a backbone of the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection, is appointed under urgent circumstances to lead an investigation into corruption clues in Jiangzhou's urban construction system. Upon arrival, he faces layers of resistance: witnesses are threatened, evidence is destroyed, insiders leak information, he is falsely accused, and even his personal safety is endangered. Facing Zhou Bingkun's all-encompassing net, Lin Yan, with the covert support of Discipline Inspection Secretary Zhao Changshan and the full cooperation of his assistant Su Wan and young cadre Zheng Hao, withstands pressure, meticulously analyzes clues, and starts from a seemingly insignificant quality issue in a construction project. He gradually tears apart the disguise of Jiangzhou's corrupt group, exposes the hidden rot within the system, and ultimately brings Zhou Bingkun and his interest group to justice. The clear wind dispels the turbid currents of Jiangzhou, and with the loyalty and responsibility of discipline inspection cadres, the dignity of party discipline and national law is upheld.
