All Possibilities Occur Simultaneously

The universe is not three-dimensional, but is "folded" into three dimensions. Higher dimensions do not exist; they are "sealed" by some force. Our universe is merely an "experiment dish" for higher-dimensional beings, and that higher-dimensional universe is also an experiment dish for an even higher universe, an infinite nesting. The protagonist eventually discovers that the "original universe" at the bottom is actually created by ourselves.
