He must collect eighteen fragments across eighteen regions, including the Yellow River, Penglai, Mount Tai, Longmen, Wudang, Three Gorges, Shushan, Mount Emei, and Mount Hua. Along the way, the Yellow River spirit Qingli, Mount Tai guardian Shigandang, and nine-tailed fox Hu Jiuniang join him in battle. But when the truth surfaces, he realizes that the secret of the Mountain and River Pot concerns the fate of all under heaven. He must make a choice: save his parents or protect this land?
