Traces of the Unseen
by 焜煊
Li Yin used to be a paranormal streamer until a formless, source-less chill burrowed into his bones in a haunted house. On her deathbed, his aunt gripped his hand and said, "Some things, once found, can never be shaken off." He had been "found." Three others were also marked: Zhang Ze, who can sense intangible intrusions; Xia Ning, who endured mimicry outside her door; and Xu Mo, who once saw a soul off. These four scarred ordinary people form the "Trace Investigation Team," specializing in cases with no traces. One case, one truth, one arc. Paper money waiting in a cabinet for twenty-seven years, a "river god" legend that drowned an entire village, a red-clad woman in a villa never caught on camera yet omnipresent... They record every anomaly that "shouldn't exist but does" in an ever-thickening notebook. We don't perform rituals or draw talismans; we only take cases of "unseen but real oddities." The world is full of traceless gaps. The scariest thing is knowing it's there but finding no evidence that you ever met. (Unit drama horror stories, each case independent with a hidden overarching plot. Cold style, human core, for all who are scared yet curious.)
