Chang'an Snowfall

This is an ancient-style suspense unit detective novel. A wrongful case sends poor scholar Pei Zhao to death row. In the dark prison, an old man stripped of his title by the emperor teaches him all the skills of solving cases like Di Gong. Thus, Pei Zhao embarks on a long journey to clear his name and pursue the truth. Seven strange cases—corpse in the West Garden, ghostly incense shadows, River God taking a wife, ancient temple chants, wordless heavenly book, Chang'an painted skin, and thunder tribulation at the Imperial Ancestral Temple—are interlinked and progressively revealed. Whenever the truth draws near, deeper conspiracies emerge. The opponent is skilled in scheming and disguise, framing others flawlessly. Pei Zhao's only way out is to find a tiny flaw in these perfect plots, dispel the clouds, and see the sun, clearing his name.
