The Qin Prisoner

After the First Emperor's sudden death and Zhao Gao's forged edict, death row prisoner Xia Ren uses chemical knowledge to create phosphorescent fire, escapes, and rescues Fusu. Rising from convict to Fusu's chief strategist, he defeats Zhao Gao, wins over Li Si, and helps Fusu ascend the throne. He abolishes cruel punishments, establishes imperial examinations, and builds a Great Wall of steel. He defeats the Xiongnu in the north, pacifies the Baiyue in the south, and his engineering corps sweeps away remnants of the six kingdoms.
