It incorporates patented techniques like PHC inclined pile reverse operation and steel cofferdam in shallow silt, depicting real scenes of piling, emergency repairs, and ethical choices. The pier is also the filming location for a famous scene in "A Little Reunion." The four-act structure reveals engineers' hidden hardships and commitment to integrity, asking "the bridge must not collapse, and neither must the people."
