by 老冯一树桃花开
In the summer of 1979, Li Dongjin, a young man from a humble rural background, breaks free from the constraints of the yellow earth. After years of hard study, he finally enters Xihua Normal College. From the countryside to an unfamiliar city, he walks alone with the simplicity of a farmer and his mother's hopes, amidst prosperity and confusion. On the green campus, he meets the gentle and insightful Lin Yuzhu, bonding over books and understanding each other's hearts. The rural and urban, poverty and wealth, fate and ideals intertwine and clash over time. A generation's youth and ups and downs, a deep bond that spans mountains and seas. The yellow earth nurtures the original heart, books settle the soul. Life is never a one-time rush; those endurance, perseverance, and waiting will eventually bloom into gentle blossoms for ordinary people in the passage of time.
