From Security Guard to Base Guardian

A sudden zombie virus outbreak causes the city to fall overnight. Chen Ye, a night-shift security guard at a supermarket, witnesses people collapsing and mutating. The streets are filled with roaming zombies, biting and eating people—the once familiar world is completely destroyed. Later, he learns the virus is called 'Ash', transmitted through saliva and blood, with a terrifyingly short incubation period of just a few hours. He and a few survivors escape to the suburbs, building a temporary camp in an abandoned factory, which gradually develops into a post-apocalyptic base city—iron walls, watchtowers, generators, all salvaged from ruins. He records every day in his diary: who died, where supplies were found, how to avoid zombie hordes... Until one day, he rescues a trapped girl in an abandoned hospital. She is Pei Zhao, the university campus belle, calm and stubborn, who becomes a core member of the base. They struggle to survive, from fleeing to fighting back, and finally establish a safe zone, sending signals to the outside world in search of a way to end this apocalypse.
