In 2050 AD, the United States is mired in a $300 trillion debt crisis. Wall Street tycoons concoct a 'perfect plan' to shift the crisis: they package a down-and-out supermarket cashier as the reincarnated Christ, fabricate miracles to incite fanatical followers, use a presidential campaign to inflate the stock market bubble, and then expose the scam after cashing out at high prices, dumping all the debt onto the believers.
