Chongzhen's Shopping Cart

In the late Ming Dynasty, the rebel Li Zicheng captured Beijing, and Wu Sangui, the general of Shanhai Pass, led the Qing army into the pass. Emperor Chongzhen, surrounded by enemies, hanged himself with the eunuch Wang Chengen on an old locust tree on Coal Hill. In fact, the ones who died were substitutes. The real Emperor Chongzhen and Wang Chengen had time-traveled to a city in western China in the year 2000, under the aliases Li Xu and Zhang Shoucheng. Li Xu meets a local girl named Tang Yan and searches for a way to return to the late Ming to change the outcome: dismiss Wu Sangui, kill Li Zicheng, and eliminate the Later Jin.
