Earth is a giant laboratory, and we are the lab rats. Chen Mu, a soon-to-graduate PhD student in electronic engineering, has his future destroyed after discovering his advisor's data fraud. During a thunderstorm lab accident, he is supposed to become the 108th container for an alien "lodger," with his consciousness formatted. However, a fatal short circuit allows Chen Mu to use high-voltage current as a weapon, reverse-penetrating the alien invader's quantum consciousness. He doesn't die; instead, he devours the alien. From then on, Chen Mu's mind holds two things: the pinnacle of human compassion and pain, and the devastating technology spanning galaxies. He realizes the invasion has begun, with disguises all around. To survive and protect his remaining humanity, Chen Mu embarks on a frenzied hunt—hunting alien monsters in human skin, plundering their "spiritual bodies" to strengthen himself, and offering forbidden technology to help the ancient Eastern power light the lighthouse to the stars amid unprecedented changes.
