Asking the Sword of the Mortal World

In the Great Wilderness, myriad races thrive. After the collapse of the Heavenly Dao, the mortal world became an abandoned land with thin spiritual energy, regarded as a place of exile for cultivators. It is said that there are no immortals in the mortal world, only three celestial palaces overlooking all beings, treating mortals as mere ants. The protagonist Chen Mo, a gravekeeper in a small town, wishes for a peaceful life but is drawn into a grand scheme about whether the mortal world deserves the right to cultivate immortality, all because of a rusty iron sword in his hand. The celestial palaces seek to sever the last vestiges of fate from the mortal world, while Chen Mo must, as a mortal, challenge the heavens with his sword.
