Reborn in 1983: A Second Chance for Family

Special forces soldier Zhang Jialiang, codenamed 'Death', dies on a peacekeeping mission and wakes up in 1983 in a rural village in Northeast China, inhabiting the body of a gambling addict. The original owner was a violent gambler who left his wife and daughter in poverty. With his skills and regret, Zhang reforms: fishing, hunting, selling game to state-run restaurants, confronting bullies, and mending family bonds. He warms his wife Su Wan's heart. As the college entrance exam resumes, he studies to change his fate, but uncovers Su Wan's hidden identity as a capitalist's daughter. Her father, rehabilitated, takes her away. Zhang enters politics, rises through the ranks, and remains faithful for 20 years until a business meeting reunites him with his grown daughter.
