The System Forced Me to Be a Villain, But I Reformed It
by 咕伴
Failed writer Zhang Muzhi transmigrates into his own abandoned urban supernatural novel. As soon as he opens his eyes, he is bound by the "Villain System," his lifespan quantified into a countdown—if he doesn't do wicked tasks, his life is deducted. He grits his teeth and carries them out, but because the original characters all refuse to follow the script, every "evil deed" backfires into a good deed. His villain points drop lower and lower, and his lifespan gets shorter and shorter. To survive, he uses the logic honed from writing web novels to exploit rule loopholes. He teams up with the sharp-tongued heroine Zeng Xu, the socially anxious protagonist Lin Zhiyuan, and the scolded-awake rich second-generation Zhou Ming to form the "Undefined" alliance, pushing the system to a blue-screen crash. When plot correction force takes over his body and the higher narrative authority deems them "illegal narrative," Zhang Muzhi simply gathers four defective system hosts to improvise a grand play, using story energy to turn the tables on the authorities. In the end, the rule-writers are forced to compromise, the system gets temporary status, and Zhang Muzhi reclaims the right to define himself and everyone else. — Description from novelcodex.org
